WHERE’s the BEDLAM HQ? –

The Bedlam Community Design Center (BC-DC!) has found a cozy home in the Ivy Building in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. The ENTRANCE is 2714 27^th Street East (about three blocks north of Rainbow Foods, and just a block up from the venerable Hexagon Bar.) Our entrance is just east of the intersection of 27^th and 27^th, along the side of the building facing the BIKE PATH and TRAIN TRACKS and is marked with the big “bedlam” sign that used to face the light rail.

We’re hosting meetings, working on projects and planning for a brilliant future at the BC-DC, as well as storing all of our files, sets and costumes. Currently, we don’t have open hours at the BC-DC, but we do encourage everyone to call and see about dropping by to check out the action.

How to get to the BEDLAM COMMUNITY DESIGN CENTER:

BICYCLE:  The GREENWAY Bikepath follows 27th Street at this point, on its way to connect with the Hiawatha trail to the West and to the Riverroad to the East, so if you’re biking the Greenway, you’ll pass right by, get off at 27th Avenue.

LIGHTRAIL:  Not as convenient as our former venue, what could be. About 6 blocks from the Lake Street Station. Off the train, walk East on Lake Street (toward the river) and take a left at the Rainbow Foods, 27th Avenue runs right through their parking lot, we’re 3 blocks off Lake St.

BUS: the 19 goes down Cedar. You  can get off at S. 6th Street and walk 2 blocks west. We’re on the left hand side at the end of the block.

PARKING: Free on-street parking along both 27th Street and 27th Avenue.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS to BEDLAM:

3 blocks off Lake Street, head North on 29th Avenue S from Lake Street and turn left at 27th Street E.

7 blocks off Franklin Avenue, head South on 27th Avenue S and take a left on 27th Street E.

6 blocks from Hiawatha (Hwy 55) take E 26th Street East, Right on 27th Avenue, Left on 27th Street.

from the Southern suburbs (or DesMoines) on 35W North: get off on 94 East and follow the 94 East directions below.

from the Nothern Suburbs (or Duluth) on 35W South: take the Hiawatha Hwy 55 exit, go East on Hiawatha, take a left on 26th Street, right on 27th Avenue, left on 27th Street.

from the Western Suburbs (or Fargo) on 94 East take the Riverside/25th Ave exit, take a Right on 25th Avenue S which will curve and become 26th Avenue S, about 6 blocks and take a left on 26th Street E, a Right on 27th Avenue S, and Left on 27th Street E. Second Garage door on your left.

from St Paul (Eau Claire) on 94 West take the Riverside/25th Ave exit. Take a sharp left on Riverside, Right on 29th Avenue S, Right on 27th Street E, about a block and a half.
