10×10 SET “C” » It Runs in the Family
“It Runs in the Family” by Moe Lionel Lions. Directed by Nastalie Bogira.
This is about bodies and surviving; it is a story about learning how to say goodbye – to pieces of skin, to memories, to people, to parts of oneself. This piece tells two parallel stories: one about a person’s process of coming out as transgender to his extended family and another about his aunt’s diagnosis and treatment of mouth cancer.
