AN INVITATION TO BEDLAM AUDIENCES FROM ALISON HEIMSTEAD -
Please join me for opening weekend of two weekends of BRAND NEW WORK at In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre! We’ve been work-shopping these four new puppet shows since September: visioning, making, presenting, discussing – and repeating…
Artists Bart Buch + Blake Love, Soozin Hirschmugl, Angela Olson, and Janaki Ranpura were selected to develop their new pieces in the context of these critical response workshops.
Please come, witness these bold first drafts that I have seen in storyboard, in rehearsal, and in presentation… and now they are in such a way that we can no longer contain them – explosive and wild, these things need an audience.
So we will show you Antarctica, love in ice storms, the savage empathy of crows, the dark intimacy of gender identity, innocent blind dates, criminal intrigue, tender brutality, tentative humanity in the freezing cold – students of our own glorious capacity to join hands, warm in the blanket of our perennial frailty.
PLEASE COME, and you’re invited also to two opening night receptions Friday Feb 3rd following the show, and Friday Feb 10th after the 7pm show.
Many Warm Thanks,
Alison Heimstead
