Beg, Borrow and Steal (1998) a documentary/mockumentary tracking Bedlam’s first year in the 504 Studio and the gang’s efforts to raise funds for their dream production of Crime and Punishment the Musical. That’s the “mock.” The “doc” includes interspersed interviews with Twin Cities funders and arts leaders on what it takes to make it… or break it.

West Bank Story (2006) covers three eras of West Bank life, now, the 1970′s and the 1890′s. It was built through a two-year process of story telling, research and interviews with Cedar Riverside movers, shakers, players, icons, visitors & residents. Full blown musical with colorful characters. See the play that catapulted Bedlam from the backside of Palmer’s to the expansive activity of 1501 S. 6th St.

freewheeling in the Attic of Whim (2000-01) three misfits get to know one another archetypically and scheme of ways to reinvent the future by using the past. The crazy sloped set sails around the studio, jingly, jangly music. The first “play” in the 504 Studio marked the transition from rehearsal/build/party space to theater venue community center.
