HOUSED AND HOMELESS (From the Very Same Cup)
Whimsical, wise, and wonderful, Housed and Homeless (From the Very Same Cup) tells the real stories of homeless men and women in the Twin Cities. Both compassionate and didactic, the show promises to awaken a sense of urgency about the issue of homelessness. In a darkened theater, aspiring performers from diverse backgrounds curiously respond to a casting call for an off-beat production involving homelessness. When this small group of total strangers arrive, they embark on a journey that takes them places they never dreamed existed. From mad scientists attempting to develop a cure for homelessness to an over-zealous game show host, it’s a passionate and invasive exploration of the stories that aren’t being heard about homelessness.
“Experience is the most important part of living, and the exchange of ideas and human contact is all life really is.”
~ Karim Rashid, prolific and celebrated designer—from the book, A Whole New Mind
