A Seasonal Dinner Theater Spectacular
by Josef Evans

There’s a yuletide sort of magic in the air,
There’s a piece of sweet potato in my hair!
Why don’t you eat it? Why don’t you eat it?
Why don’t you eat some theater tonight? DINNER THEATER!

Bedlam Theatre presents "The Turducken," a hilariously dark sendup of holiday revues, dinner theater, and Chekhov’s classic "The Seagull."  Experience the lighter side of failure and tragedy, as an inept collection of aspiring performers follow a dream of creating their own renaissance festival to disastrous effect.  Forced to find work during the holidays, these performers take on an increasingly pathetic series of Christmas-themed jobs and watch their lives and families collapse in fits of profound and comical sadness.

HELLO THERE FOOD DIGESTION SPECIALISTS! AND WELCOME TO A HOT BOWL OF TOMATO SOUP!

The Turducken is a play within a play within a play, just like a Turducken. And this show has it all – Singing, dancing, weeping, wizards, Samuel Clemens impersonators, ham salesmen, Santa Claus standup, bad performance art, and a belligerent elderly host – to keep audiences entertained while they enjoy a delicious, specially created four course menu from Bedlam’s very own bar and restaurant. Guests will choose from an entree’ selection of  brown sugar trout, roast beef with gravy, or bedlam’s signature pierogis.

CHRISTMAS WIZARDS!!!!

"The Turducken" was created by Josef Evans (author of the 2006 Fringe Encore smash "Love in a Time of Rinderpest"), is directed by Sam Johns (of 2008 Bedlam/Fringe hit "You’re No Fun") and features a cast of local indie theater standouts.  Presented in workshop form for a limited run last year, the show has been revamped and brought back by popular demand as a "full-fledged dinner theater spectacular."  As only Bedlam Theater could imagine it.

IT’LL BE JUST LIKE THE OLD DAYS, ONLY WITHOUT ALL THE HOPE
